The advantage of commissioning a Torah scroll is that it can be paid for in installments throughout the writing. In addition, a commissioned Torah scroll will most likely be less expensive than a Torah scroll of comparable quality that is already completed or in the midst of being written. We deal with Torah scrolls of the Ashkenaz, Chassidic and Sephardic customs, all sizes, from miniature Torah scrolls to full size and qualities from basic kosher to the most beautiful. We also have restored Torah scrolls available. Please note that the standard size Torah scrolls for Ashkenazic Torah scrolls are 17-1/2 and 19 inches (45/48cm). The standard size, Sephardic Torah scrolls are 20 and 22 inches (50/56cm). Torah scrolls are available in smaller sizes but since this is generally not standard there will be less options to choose from and may be more costly. Each Torah scroll is written by a qualified sofer on high quality, beautiful parchment. Two experienced examiners manually examine the writing. In addition, the Torah scroll is computer checked for textual errors. All mistakes are corrected and the sections are professionally sewn together as required by halachah.
